• The title of all pages in the browsers title bar is depending on my configuration

title of entry | title of website

The frontpage should be different, because I don’t show any posts. But it shows the title of the latest entry. Is it possible to have the title on the frontpage stable? I only want to have the name of the website.

(I use Firefox, but in Chrome it is the same.)

Hi, I strongly recommend the WordPress SEO plugin by Yoast to do this.
    Easy to use and setup!
    Hope this will help, cheers

I don’t use this one but I would be surprised that you can’t do it!

I work with a SEO specialist and we configured the all-in-one SEO plugin as usual. But we can not change the title of the startpage. It always shows the title of the site (the SEO plugin is configured like that) and then the title of the last published post.

We tried some configurations but don’t know, what we could do else. That’s why I ask you. We supposed this behavior could be intendet.

does the site really need to have a title? what happens when the site title is removed, left blank, either through the Customizr admin or through Settings > General?

BTW… your site is beautiful especially the third featured page image showing what appears to a Belgian Tervuren. I had once had one.

I’ve installed All In One SEO Pack and am trying to replicate the issue.

    Hi Johann,

That’ nice of you. I hope you get a result. ?? Thank you for the compliment.

Yes, a site, especially the startpage, need a title. My site has a title “Hundeerziehung”, which comes right after the pages oder posts title. The startpage has no special title, so there should be only “Hundeerziehung”.

But, I don’t understand. I tested it a couple of hours ago and it showed the blogs title and then the title of the last entry. And now, I just checked again, there is only the sitetitle on the startpage. I do not understand anything. That’s strange but on my pc, it’s OK. I will now ask my SEO friend, if it’s OK on his pc too.

How do I do it with SEO plugin by Yoast? Sine the Home page is not a page I created, I can’t seem to update the title.

Sorry to bug everybody as I am sure this is a silly question but I have been searching for an hour and cannot figure it out.

    Thanks

What’s the URL? What do you want exactly?

    roadragetowing.com

I’d like to be able to write the home page title without having it be on the page text.

    Thanks

It looks already nice to me. On the start page, I see in the Firefox title bar:

Road Rage Towing | Tow Truck service in Williston, North Dakota

Is that OK or would you like to change something?
