  • Stellamaris5 the advice I was given was to disable a plugin one by one and keep checking each time.. It might take some time but it worked for me!

i have disabled all my plugins one by one, and no fix happened…
and i only have a few plugins. perhaps it is some problem with my enfold theme? i dont know. i am sure an update will fix it in thefuture. thank you for a great plugin

I can also confirm that a google maps plugin was the problem.
I’m using CP Google Maps and after deactivating it WordPress SEO started working again

    Hi,

I’ve created a new website with WordPress 4.0, and installed the plugins: WordPress SEO, and our CP Google Maps, and both plugins are working fine in my WordPress.

    Best regards.

I can also confirm that after upgrading to Worpress 4.0 my SEO options were gone. Deactivating the Comprehensive Google Map plugin cleared up the problem for SEO.

I had the same issue with the Comprehensive Google Map plugin. This below fix by Austin Ginder on the linked topic gives a temp fix if you are using the maps plugin. It worked for me.

Temporarily I restored functionality to the media library by commenting out line 45 on file head.php.

    // wp_enqueue_script(‘comprehensive-google-map-plugin’, CGMP_PLUGIN_JS. ‘/cgmp.admin’.$minified.’.js’, array(‘jquery’, ‘media’, ‘wp-ajax-response’), CGMP_VERSION, true);

This will break your ability to edit or update maps however current maps will continue to display fine on the front end. This works for me until the plugin has been fixed.

Hi all, a plugin that was causing this error for me was WordPress Context.

After I disabled it, WordPress SEO options were back again, and working a charm, as ever (thanks Joost De Vaalk for your excellent plugin).

Disabling the WordPress Context plugin also solved other problems I was experiencing after the update to WP 4.0, like not being able to upload feature images or adding tags to posts.

I’m having the same problem. Any updates on this?

I don’t use the google map plugin you’re speaking of.

Deactivating Comprehensive Google Map plugin also fixed my SEO issues I was having.

Tried disabling all of my plugins and still no resolve on this issue for us.

    List:

    Akismet
    bbPress
    Contact Form 7
    EWWW Image Optimizer
    Google Analytics
    Google XML Sitemap for Images
    Google XML Sitemaps
    Jetpack by WordPress.com
    NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati
Responsive WordPress Slider – Soliloquy Lite
    SEO Friendly Images
    W3 Total Cache
    WordPress Music plugin by righTune
    WordPress Reviews
    WordPress SEO
    WP-Testimonials

Coincidentally this problem happened same time as updating to wp 4.0
Again I tried disabling all other plugins, using choices theme.

    Help!

Deactivating the Comprehensive Google Map plugin cleared up the problem for SEO. But I need the map on my clients’ site. Is there a fix yet?

I’ve updated the plugin but no change yet? I don’t use any of the mentioned plugins above.

I’ve I disable the SEO plugin and re-enable will I lose all my settings?

Just reset to default settings in the plugin and all the options are back now.

I disabled the plugin “EMC2 Popup Disclaimer” and the SEO options are back.

It dissappeared again but had to reset to default settings it came back. I need to sit down properly to find out what is going on.
