SEO meta tile and description for pages in specific category

    Hello,

    we have multiple categories on our website. We can set that pages in category taxonomy will have some title and meta desc but we want achieve that pages in every single one category will have specific title and meta desc.

    Example:
    We have 2 categories.
    In category 1 we have 100 pages, we want to set title and meta desc only for these 100 pages in this category, not for the whole category taxonomy which can be changed in yoast seo admin.
    In category 2 we have 50 pages, we want to set title and meta desc only for these 50 pages in this category.

    Changing category taxonomy title and meta desc in yoast seo admin menu will change title and meta desc for all of these 150 pages which are in 2 categories. We want to have seperate/specific title and meta desc for pages in each category.

    How can I achieve this?

    Unfortunately, this isn’t possible with the current settings of the Yoast SEO plugin. You can define the title and meta description templates for pages and categories, but not just for specific pages under one category.

    We can’t offer support on custom code (needed to change (core) features of our plugin). Since we don’t want to take the risk that we break your website by suggesting incorrect or incomplete code, we cannot advise you on how to make such changes. Maybe someone watching these forums can assist you further, but if your topic is inactive for 7 days, we’ll mark it as resolved to keep the overview.

    Thank you for answer. I’ll probably develop a custom plugin using yoast’s API.
