    Hi rageragerage,

The keywords meta is no longer used by Google, or Bing. In fact, with Bing, according to a study by SEMrush, your site will be penalized when you used them.

Here’s a good read, which contains a video by Google Webmasters: https://www.metatags.org/google_ignores_meta_tags_in_ranking

All this is why it’s not included within The SEO Framework.
The SEO Framework uses more modern methods for your site to rank better. One of which is called Structured Data.

I hope this clears things up, let me know if you have any more questions! ??

very smart thank you for your dedicated answer cool plugin so far best wishes

    Hi cybre,

Yoast (and others) do often emphasize the importance of “long tail keywords” and Yoast has a dedicated field for keywords. Aren’t these used at all in SEO Framework or…?

    Hi @kaj69,

This support topic is for the keywords meta tag, not long tail (focus) keywords within your content.

Could you open up a new support topic regarding the subject you want to engage?
Then I’ll be more than happy to give you an explanation ??

    Thanks!

Sorry, have now asked the question in a new thread.
