Been wanting to use Transposh global translator plugin on my 1-year old WPMU site, but won’t it spoil all my site’s backlinks?

I’m asking this because I suppose my site’s homepage url would then be https://mysite.com/en.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks.

Thanks for your help, but do you mean to say the new language urls would be indexable by search engines & incorporated automatically into the sitemap?

    Hello,

New urls will be indexable, support for adding them into the sitemap is automatic with v4b3 of the plugin or higher, there is a patch available for previous versions on our dev site.

I have installed this plugin at DIY Computer Repair Resources, but no translation happens when I select French, same with all other languages.

    What could be the problem?

The thing you have installed in your site, is not our plugin.

I have uninstalled your plugin and tried another one. But I re-installed it, and with only Russian & English as selectable languages for testing purposes.

Anyway, do I need to click on TRANSLATE ALL NOW at the admin backend? I already have close to a thousand pages in my site before installing your plugin.

Well, you need to remove the transposh.js from your minification, (this appears in the FAQ) after that it will work.

You don’t have to use the translate all button, and if you don’t pages will get translated as soon as they are visited by your users.

    Awesome! Thanks a lot…

But I have no luck with Japanese translation. Had my friends visit other pages of my site, but all pages stayed English.

    What could have been wrong?

You have a jQuery problem there which is not caused by transposh, look at your javascript console and fix it ??
