SEO issues with old posts

I have a number of posts written a few years ago, with only a few visitors coming through them.

But I wonder how it’s more useful for SEO to handle these posts.

Is it effective to delete an exciting post and write a new post with those keywords?

or Is it effusive to update exciting posts?
