    Hi There,

I was setting everything of SEO Framework up on a new Wocoommerce install.
I saw that product categories are not included in the sitemap.

    Some questions:
    – Why is it not included? Is it needed or not?
    – What does the SEO framework do for Woocommerce behind the scenes?
    – Does it also setup schema for products?

    Thanks!

    Hello!

    – Why is it not included? Is it needed or not?
Sitemaps for WordPress are generally useless. But, this issue is also complicated, see https://tsf.fyi/kb/a/21.

    – What does the SEO framework do for Woocommerce behind the scenes?
TSF doesn’t do anything WooCommerce is better at. In other words: TSF lets WooCommerce handle the structured data, while TSF provides options for titles, descriptions, and social sharing (just like any other page).
TSF recognizes WooCommerce pages, and I implemented several features to make everything work seamlessly, such as Product Gallery support for social sharing, and shop “page as archive” detection.

    – Does it also setup schema for products?
No, Woocommerce does this better out of the box than any other SEO plugin. So, I chose not to interfere.
    See https://tsf.fyi/kb/structureddata#not-just-us.
