    Hi all

I have used the SEO Data Optimization in the past and there was no problem.
But the last days when I tried to run it again he stops at about half of it’s optimization and then gives an error:

Er is iets mis gegaan, waardoor we de optimalisatie van je SEO gegevens niet konden voltooien. Klik nogmaals op de knop om het proces te herstarten. Neem contact op met onze ondersteuning indien het probleem aanhoudt.

Hieronder zijn de technische details voor de fout. Bekijk deze pagina voor een meer gedetailleerde uitleg.

    Error details
    Status code

As you can see, he doens’t give an error code. That is left blank.

I tried the ‘Yoast test’ plugin and have reset indexables and migration tables.
But the problem was not solved with that.

Can someone help me with this one?

    Thanks in advance

    Kristof

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with completing the SEO Data Optimization process on your setup and you’ve already tried resetting indexable but to no avail.

I would recommend you retry completing the process by disabling all plugins and switching to the default 2020 theme.

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.

Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

    Let us know that goes.

    I’ve checked it out…
But when i’m using troubleshooting mode and all plugins were inactive.
Also the theme was switched tot twenty-seventeen.

I enabled the yoast plugin and tried the SEO Data Optimization process and it failed again (with no plugins or original theme active).

    He gave the same error…
Maybe it would be solved with next Yoast plugin update..

Thanks for the info after all.

    Best regards

    Hi @kvanopde

We understand that the SEO data optimization process still fails even with a default theme and only the Yoast SEO plugin activated.

Would it be possible for you to provide a screenshot of the error you are seeing (please click on the drop-down arrow for the error message and response) from the red error message when the process fails under the SEO > Tools section, as that would provide more information and so we can understand where the process is failing specifically. You can learn more about it here – https://yoast.com/help/we-couldnt-complete-the-optimization-of-your-seo-data/

You can use a service such as snipboard.io or imgur.com to upload an image and share a link here.

    Hi Michael

This is the error I receive… Without a ‘code’.

    Seo data optimization failed

    Hi,

Thanks for providing this information. It is certainly strange that there isn’t more information that would indicate where the error is stemming from. When the SEO data optimization process errors out, would it be possible for you to open your browser’s console and check for any JavaScript errors highlighted in red and provide a screenshot of that?

Can you also please try resetting our indexables in the database tables by following the steps below?
    1. Install & activate the?Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations’, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation’, and ‘Reset Internal link counter’ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that each reset was successful. Note: Resetting the optimization doesn’t undo any of the hard work you’ve put into the plugin as the SEO data is also stored in WordPress’ default tables. It’ll just reset the custom Yoast tables that contain the combined data pulled from those default tables.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Start SEO data optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your?content.

    Hi,

I have the same problem. I installed Yoast helper and used the Reset indexables tables & migrations', 'Reset Prominent Word Calculation', and 'Reset Internal link counter' keys.

After 2/3 it returns the error message as above, what else can I do?

    Regards,
    Marcel

I’m having this same issue. Is there any support on this?
