    Hi all, NOt a WP question, as such, although I do use WP for all my sites.

    My client has spoken to a firm who ‘claim’ they can get his site on page one of google in a matter of weeks. I approached them & asked how. They were going to do it via targeting different locations in the UK. for eg. My clients site is a horse racing tipster site. So they said that as google showed results based on location. If someone in, say, Leeds typed in Horse Racing Tipster because they were in Leeds my clients site would show up top because they would ahave targerted Leeds intheir SEO, same with London, Birmingham & so on.

    I can’t grasp how they would do that. I am familiar with Schema etc. & targeting the ‘actual’location a business is in. But how on earth can they target various locations & get the site to show up in searches that way.

    I am fairly new to SEO techniques so maybe I am missing something, but some suggestions, advice, opinions would be great.

    Many thanks for reading folks,
    Richard

    – Using blackhat seo, because they’re only in it for the first 2 weeks;
    – Adding smallprint into their service that covers them when the client complains in 2 weeks time;
    – Lying.
