seo 3.0.7 – can't edit snippet title

Whenever I click on the snippet title to edit it, it disappears!
It would appear to be stuck on: page title – separator – site name. What controls this behaviour?The site is wp 4.4 using Beaver Builder – Ubuntu/Nginx
Interestingly, this behaviour only exists for new seo exercises. Sites that had started their seo programme using older versions of yoast, and which have subsequently been updated to 3.0.7, do not exhibit the above behaviour. I can edit their snippet titles.
