My first few blogs post were fine. Then I started noticing my sentences on the blog post on mobile were cutting off. I have edited several times on my post, but it is still happening. I have researched online for the reason that this might be happening & have tried different things but nothing is working. Then tonight I noticed it is also happening on the desktop version of the blog pages now so I guess I missed something up. This is what is happening:

“For years my husband and I lived paycheck to paycheck. You know the saying! One day I caught an episode on Facebook

of a financial coach talking with people that paid off all their debt. They would scream they were debt free. I immediately”

    Please help!

    Thanks Sharon

    Hi @smartcentswithshaye ,

I checked that the content is converted into the different paragraph for each line which results to show the break. This is a common issue with the block editor (Gutenberg) in WordPress, where line breaks or carriage returns are interpreted as new paragraphs, leading to unwanted formatting.

Here are some potential solutions to fix this issue:1. Paste as Plain Text

When you paste text directly from another source (e.g., Word, a website, or a document), it may bring over hidden formatting that Gutenberg interprets as separate paragraphs. To avoid this:

    • Use the “Paste as Plain Text” option in the block editor. In the block editor, when you paste, you can either:
      • Right-click and select Paste as plain text (if your browser supports this feature).
      • Or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + V (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + V (Mac) to paste without formatting.

This will strip any unwanted formatting from the text and paste it as plain text, which should resolve the paragraph break issue.

    2. Use a “Paragraph” Block

Click on the block settings and ensure you’re using the Paragraph block, which should handle text line breaks appropriately.

If these solutions not works, I’d be happy to troubleshoot further!

@ranjeetkaur Hi, I created my first new blog post on Friday since you had explained about using the paragraph block and copy/paste. My sentences were still cut off except the last paragraph. I deleted and re copied and pasted. I tried using a notepad and copying from there. Nothing worked. I played with the blog on Saturday & finally just completely deleted the entire blog. I created a new blog and again only the last paragraph shows up on mobile correctly. I deleted the 1st paragraph and then typed it straight into the block. Still, I have broken sentences. I am not sure what to do. It is crazy the number of times I have created this one blog & nothing is working. What can you suggest? Sharon
