Sending test mail refuses to work

    Hello!

    I just downloaded WP Mail SMTP and I was trying to set it up by using the right hotmail SMTP because my client used hotmail to register her website but I tried to send a message to some of my emailadresses but nothing works. The test mail only spins round and round and round and then the page becomes white. Why is this happening? Am I doing something wrong? I downloaded this plugin because sending messages from contact form 7 is working and only places every email in the junk folder.

    I am having the same issue.

    I also had this problem and found a solution, so posting in case it helps anyone else. I tried a different smtp plugin but got the same result as this one. Therefore, not anything to do with the plugin so I checked with my hosting company. There’s a different set of instructions when sending smtp mail via a script, I used these and mail is now sending via smtp.

    Unclear what the issue is here. Please post an error message.
