sending so slow

    I run a dedicated server wit centos cpanel etc. I have limited mail sending to 500 per hr.

    in plugin all tests work, I use setcronjob.com, set limit in plugin to 450 per hr to be sure, also have working smtp settings in place just in case. I checked my cron page it loads correctly as blank page.

    I send a newsletter to 11,000 subscribers, and 2.5 days later and only 1500 roughly sent.

    sometimes when I reload the stats page for the newsletter it complains about cron, sometimes not. I tried changing setting to smtp but I’m not sure if that effects sendings already in progress.

    Probably the execution time of your php is very low and the system is blocking the sending of newsletter. Does setcronjob.com let you so set an interval of 5 minutes?

    Try to check the wp-content/logs/newsletter log fle for a timeout reached notice.
