Sending password email after user registers.

  • Hello,
    I finally have everything setup the way I wanted it and had a user register. They never recieved the email with their password. After thinking about this it dawned on me that I never specified an SMTP server to send from. I have looked all over the place for an option to set my SMTP server. I’m sure it’s there somewhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  • By default, WP uses SMTP from php.ini. So it part of the PHP config more than WP config.

    As I recall, there are some plugins that will override or offer more options.
