Sending myself an inbox notification for new mail when manually marking Not Spam

Is there a way to ensure that I’m still receiving inbox notifications when I manually change an inbound message erroneously marked as Spam to Not Spam. It works perfectly automatically, but doesn’t seem to resend an inbox notifcation if the marking is manual.
