    Hi there!

First of all… awesome plugin! I love the simplicity and versatility.

As this is the first time I’m using the plugin for a fairly large event (thousands of attendees), I’m curious about the Notify email client.

Should I predict any issues if sending out thousands of emails via Notify?

I have a dread of dealing with email. Is it likely my host will block me from sending out so many? It’s a regular shared hosting account.

    Thanks in advance.

CampTix will send the e-mails out in batches of 200 every 10 minutes. You can ask you web host if that will cause problems with their systems or not.

If it will, you can use the camptix_notify_recipients_batch_count filter to lower the batch size, so that it’s only 100 every 10 minutes, or 50 every 10 minutes, etc.

There’s also an addon to sync the attendess to a MailChimp mailing list. It’s not in the official plugin repository, but it’s available via SVN at

Outstanding support! I will contact my host.

I was in fact thinking if it was possible to sync with Mailchimp. So your response has made my day ??

Just curious about the filter. Is that something I set in functions.php?

Ideally you’d want to use a functionality plugin, but functions.php will also work.

You can learn more about using filters from the Plugin Developer Handbook.

Hi Ian, hoping for some guidance.

I’ve uploaded camptix-mailchimp.php to the addons folder within the camptix plugin folder. Then I realised I don’t know what to do. I don’t see any new options in the admin to configure mailchimp.

I’ve created a list for a ticket purchaser in Mailchimp. I can make a form in Mailchimp. But what’s the way to have the the tCamptix form and the Mailchimp form ‘be as one’, so to speak.

    Any help/pointers much appreciated.

Under the Tickets menu, there’s a Setup link. If the addon is installed correctly, there should be a MailChimp tab on that screen. From there you can enter your API key, choose which list you want to sync attendees to, and then run the sync job.
