• I have set up WP-mail SMTP using my Google account. I am able to send successfully from the website and I receive the test on another email on another but I can not get it to send to any gmail accounts. I have tested with 2 different gmail accounts and have the sender set up as a contact but still these are not being received.
    Why can this show as sending successfully but not appear on any gmail accounts?

    Thanks for reaching out and we’re sorry to hear about this strange issue.

    First off, we just want to confirm that you set up the Google mailer and not the Other SMTP mailer by following the instructions outlined here.

    Are you using any logging plugins to confirm if your emails are actually not being sent successfully? For example, you could try using the WP Mail Logging plugin.

    Also, are you receiving any errors when you attempt to send a test email to those email addresses?

    As a test would you be willing to set up a different mailer to confirm if this is a mailer specific or server issue? For testing purposes, we would recommend setting up the Sendinblue mailer.

    Hi Drake Thanks for getting back to me.
    So I have used WP mail SMTP to connect and it shows everything is sent successfully. I can get the email ok on my own personal email. But when I try to send to any gmail addresses thenthey say they are successfully send but fail to arrive. I don’t see any in the send fold on gmail.
    I am not seeing any errors.

    On Google they have MX dig tool which shows all the MX records are present but with the MX check tool it doesn’t show any and says I need to set up a mail sending on the domain.

    Thanks for getting back to us. That certainly is strange.

    Were you able to test out using Sendinblue to confirm if this is mailer or server specific?

    To test your email deliverability, you can also try sending a test email to the email address generated in this tool: https://www.mail-tester.com/

    It will provide recommendations and may even pinpoint a potential issue that our checker wasn’t able to pick up.
