• Hello,

I have webshop where customers can order custom produced radio jingles, dj drops and podcast intros and outros. They should be virtual products, because they are delivered as mp3 or wav or zip.

Is there a way to send those products to customers or to place them in My Downloads section in customer profile page or anything other? Now I use “note to customer” (in order page) and there paste link for direct download, but customers are confused after that, few of them even didn’t notice this note.

I know can send those products directly on e-mail, but is there any solution where woocommerce handle this?

    Tnx in advance!

    Mihael

@microjingles Downloadable products are intended to have the product attached to them at the moment of purchase. In this case, I understand you’d be adding the files some time after the purchase.

You can add download permissions to orders, which will in turn make the download files appear in the “Downloads” section of a customer page. However, to do this, you will have to add the files as part of a downloadable product, so that then you can add permissions to download this product on the original customer order.

I’m thinking you could create a downloadable product that is private and hidden from your shop, so that it won’t appear for other customers. Once the downloadable product with the files has been created, you will be able to edit an order, and add permissions to download that product, using this section in the Edit Order page:

I understand this would be quite a manual process, but WooCommerce doesn’t include a different feature for adding file download permissions, unless those files are part of a product.

    Hey Fernando,

    thank you for answer.
    Understand. Tnx.

Is there any other plugin you know about that supports uploading link with download and sending mail with link to download?

Or is there any other way where you can manually (except way you listed above) “put” file in customers My downloads section of profile page?
