• Hello,

I have been using the free version of your plugin for the past three days. I have observed that the plugin is sending 2 duplicate email notifications to the post authors.

I have attempted to troubleshoot by deactivating all plugins on my website and keeping Elementor and your plugin active to test. I can confirm that I am still receiving the two duplicate email notifications to the post authors.

The email notifications that I am currently using are:

    *?New comments
    * New post has been published.

I have deleted the notification forms and recreated them from scratch. Everything worked fine for few hours, but then the issue of sending two duplicate email notifications to the post authors starts again.

I am considering upgrading to the premium version, but I am hesitant to proceed until this problem is resolved.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @gringopost,
    Thanks for your message.

For the comment notifications, can you confirm you’ve followed the steps outlined in this support document? https://betternotificationsforwp.com/documentation/notifications/disable-default-wordpress-emails/

For the New Post Published notification, to rule out Elementor as the issue, please can you test using either the Classic Editor plugin or the built-in Block Editor to see if BNFW sends duplicate notifications?

Despite diligently following all the suggested methods, I have been unable to resolve the issue. Furthermore, the reset password notification is completely ineffective. Additionally, disabling the default WordPress emails did not trigger the deployment of the Better Notifications reset password email.

Also, the new comment or new replies Notifications sometimes doesn’t get sent to the authors, instead it get sent to the admin as if the admin is the author. What a mess!!?!! Can I create a temp password for you to log in and find out what is happing? It is total mess.

    Hi @gringopost,
It sounds like some plugin or theme conflicts to me as, out-of-the-box, BNFW should pretty much just work, especially with the notifications you’re trying to use. I’m sure we can get it working for you.
I can’t offer a level of free support where i log into your site to see what’s going on unfortunately. Instead, please can you make your way through this document and let me know how you get on?

Absolutely no conflicts from another plugin, since I disabled ALL plugins and I tested it on raw WordPress side. I gave up on using it to reset passwords. I am only using it for comments. 50% of new comments notifications are sent to the site admin instead of the owner of the post (Author). I would pay for the plugin if it works since I need it, but I won’t pay for something broken. I am offering to work with you to fix it other than that I can’t offer anything else right now. Thanks.

    Hi @gringopost,
    Thanks for continuing to test.

Are you able to post a link to a screen recording showing your testing with all plugins deactivated, etc. so I can see the issue you’re having?
