Thanks for the suggestion! While we don’t currently have a built-in method of selecting the template ID, I do agree it would be helpful. I’ve made a note of the feature request and we’ll keep it on our radar as we plan out our roadmap for the future.

Can you give any direction on what i can add to my function.php file to add this in?

Our developers came up with a solution that may help you out. It involves using a small snippet of code:

add_filter( 'wp_mail_smtp_providers_mailer_get_body', function ( $body, $mailer ) {

 if ( $mailer === 'sendgrid' ) {
  $body['template_id'] = '{id}';
 }

 return $body;
}, 10, 2 );

Note: Please replace {id} with the ID of the template.
