Sender name for emails

  • I have set up smtp on wordpress through a gmail account and would like to know how I can adjust the name that shows when notifications get sent out. Currently it is not showing a name, just the email address. There is currently a name set in both the gmail account and in the wordpress email settings.

    Hello,

    Are you using any SMTP plugin to setup SMTP?

    If you are using WP Mail SMTP plugin, you can set the form email & name from Settings > WP Mail SMTP section.

    Hello,

    I am using WP Mail SMTP. I have the name and email set properly in settings in that plugin and when i send a test message from that plugin it shows properly. But emails that are coming from the Email Subscribers plugin are showing the email address as the name as well.

    Hello,

    There is a setting “Force From Email” and “Force From Name” in the WP SMTP plugin. If you checked those checkboxes, from email and from name will be set as you already configured into it.

    If you want to use from email and from name set into Email Subscribers, don’t check these options in WP SMTP plugin.
