    Hey,

i want that the Client is Sender of the E-Mail. But if i change in the Settings the Sender E-Mail (from) to the field id ({field_id=”1″}) there is no changes.

The Sender E-Mail still be the Admin-Email. Field_id 1 is avaible.

I need the E-Mail of the Client urgently as Sender.

    Have anyone an Idea?

    Best Regards

  • Hello @moonier,

    Thanks for contacting us!

If you would like as if the email was sent by the client, you can then use the email smart tag in the From Email field under Settings > Notifications > From Email. Here’s a screenshot for quick reference.

Could you please let me know this answers your question, or if any extra details might be helpful?

    Thanks!

    Hello @moonier,

    Thanks for sharing the screenshots!

When you have some time, could you please confirm if you have a SMTP plugin installed on the website. In case you’re using SMTP plugin, we would suggest not using the users’ email address as the From Email as it can can cause email delivery issues.

Thanks, and please let me know!

    Hey @prashantrai ,

I don’t use a SMTP Plugin at my WordPress Website. The Mail get sending with the Standard Method of WordPress ( mail() ).

    Hi @moonier,

    Thanks for the update!

It’s certainly odd that the From Email is modified when there isn’t a SMTP plugin installed.

A possible reason could be a conflict between the forms and the site theme or another plugin.

To troubleshoot this, please try the steps described in our detailed guide on how to test for plugin/theme conflicts.

    Hope this helps!
