"Send this password by email" message

  • Ahoy Antoine . . . I am happy to report that your “Football Pool” plugin has been outstanding for my College Football & Basketball Challenges during the last couple of years. It has been loads of fun for everyone, especially because of the many “bells & whistles” you have included. Every season, I require Challengers to re-register at the site using a custom form I created. Using the information they provide, I create their Username and Password. I always select the check box that reads: “Send this password to the new user by email”. It works great. So, here is my question: Can you tell me how I could modify the auto-generated email so I could add text like “Please let me know that you have received your password and have successfully tried to log in.” This would be so helpful. It may be a WordPress file somewhere not necessarily a part of your plugin. Thanks! Kev

    Hi Kev,

    Good to hear you’re still using the plugin. The email is definitely not part of my plugin, it’s part of WP. Changing the email yourself could be done, but I would suggest to try a plugin first that does this for you. There are several out there, some more advanced than others.

    I haven’t got any experience with these plugins, but this one looks promising.
