Send subscription confirmation after creating user manually?

Hi all,
On our website, the admin creates users manually. We would like them to receive an automatic email with id, password and website homepage address. How can we do this?
Upon user creation, if I tick the box for the users to receive their passwords, they get the standard WP email. I would like them to receive my customized WP-members text with shortcodes.
I found only one way to do it – setting WP-members options to moderated subscription, then “activate” each user.
Am I missing something? Is there another way to do it?
The problem with this method is that users that are already registered need to be activated (their accounts stop working) and they receive the customized email, with a new password they did not request.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
