Send Push Notifications via Firebase

  • Hello,

    I’ve done a quick search on your forum and I’ve not found anything that covers my question. I have recently installed your plugin on my site and set up push notifications using Firebase and successfully sent them via your plugin configuration screen. But, if I try to send notifications via Grow > Cloud Messaging using the Firebase Console my notifications don’t arrive and I don’t receive any error messages. Am I missing something?

    I’d like to schedule my push notifications outside of WordPress and use Firebase for this, not OneSignal. Is that possible?

    Is there any reason you do not want to use OneSignal and use firebase instead?

    I’m reluctant to using OneSignal because I’m not sure how our user’s data will be shared but I’d imagine Firebase data is shared extensively too. I will try OneSignal and see how it goes.
