For the past several versions of Woo, I’ve noticed that if I use the “send order email” widget on the order screen to re-send myself a new order email notification, it doesn’t arrive. I use an SMTP plugin, using my Gsuite gmail for sending. Checked the log there, and the email doesn’t show up, so it never even reaches the gmail server. Odd thing is that if someone places an order on the site, I receive the new order email, other emails also get sent like processing, and completed. But for some reason, manually triggering the new order email from the order screen simply doesn’t work. I put a bug ticket months ago, but no one answered it. Am I the only one experiencing it?

  • Hey @mdc2957,

Are you referring to this order action?

If so, this should trigger the “New Order” email to be sent again. I just gave it a try on my test site and it came right through.

Most likely there is a piece of code on the site that is preventing this from working as expected. You could run a conflict test to determine what it is.

No, that one does work, i’m talking about the widget down further, order emails; the “new order” one doesn’t work. But it’s ok, as the one you point out does the same thing, so I’ll just use that from now on (I didn’t even know it was there actually!)
