Send invoices via PDF?

  • Is it possible to send the invoice that is generated as HTML, as a PDF?
    I would like my customers to receive their invoices as a downloadable PDF.
    I found some plugins that give a functionality like this, but they all require me to manually click a send invoice button.

    I want to invoices to be sent automatically when the order is payed for.
    Is there a way to achieve this, either as basic functionality or as (paid) plugin?
