Send Info To Flash

So, for someone who is alright with both actionscript and php, and by alright, I basically mean can identify which language is which, how hard would it be to have info sent from a wordpress blog, such as Recent Posts and Recent Comments, to a flash file on the page?
What I want is to display both of these pieces of information very nicely in a small flash area of the site.

Any ideas on where I should start?
