Send files as link – Files get deleted almost immediately

    When I set the ‘send files as links’ option, and include the shortcode in the mail tab, I can see the links to the files just fine.

    But..mthe files seem to get deleted pretty quickly from the server for some reason.

    The only benefit to having the files as links would be that they stay online forever, otherwise you completely lose the files because they’re never attached anywhere.

    Should the files be getting deleted automatically? If so, is there a way for me to stop it happening?

    Hello @lukeseager ,

    When you unchecked “send file as link” option files will be temporary store in “/uploads/wp_dndcf7_uploads/wpcf7-files/” and it will automatically deleted 1 hour after the submission.

    If you want to adjust the time, just copy and paste code (below) inside your /themes/{themename}/functions.php

    Thanks, I’ll give it a try!

    I think it would be worth putting that as a little note next to the checkbox, I would have expected the links to work forever, personally.
