    Hello,

I’d like to create a form that will send an email every time it’s submitted. So it would add the user who submits the form to the mailing list if they are not already in it, but also send them an email regardless if they’re in the list or not.

The use case is a price enquiry form for WooCommerce products, so the user could submit it for various products on the page and would have the price sent to them on every form submission.

I’d also like to send a follow up email if they have done a price enquiry. Is there a way to send an email from a custom event? EG, if the user sent a price enquiry a day ago, a follow up email would be sent to say can we help you with anything else.

I’m happy to use hooks or custom code to achieve this if there is something available.

I realise this is not exactly what Mail Poet is built for, but since it already has the forms and the email functionality it makes sense to use it for this too, rather than having a whole nother plugin to cater for this use case.

    Thanks,
    Clare

  • Hi there @clario,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I’m afraid that wouldn’t be possible with MailPoet to create such an email out of the box. A user should have Subscribed status in MailPoet to receive any type of marketing email.

At the same time, if you use a third-party plugin for creating such emails, they can be sent with MailPoet Sending Service.

I hope this clarifies a bit, but please let us know if you have any questions!
