    Hi all,

I’m currently facing an issue with the AMP plugin and SEMrush. SEMrush is an SEO optimization tool for WordPress.

When I crawl my site SEMrush gives an indication that there are no titles present on the AMP-pages. This is probably due to AMP using amp-page-title instead of title. Is there any custom code with which I can work around this issue?

    WordPress version: 5.4.2
    AMP-plugin version: 1.5.4

    I’d love hearing you guys.

Thanks in advance and kind regards,

    Richard

    Hi there

There is no such thing as amp-page-title. The AMP plugin by default outputs a <title> tag when using Reader mode. But somehow, that tag is indeed missing on your site.

It appears that you are using the Rank Math WordPress SEO plugin. Perhaps that interferes a bit with the AMP plugin. Have you tried temporarily disabling that plugin to see if the <title> tag is still missing?

    Hi Pascal,

Thanks for your incredibly quick answer! Let me check if it’s Rank Math which is interfering with AMP. I’ll update you if I have an answer.

    Hi Pascal,

I’ve disabled Rank Math on the staging area of our website which is at #. I’ve temporarily disabled the HTTP Auth on it so you should be able to access it without problems.

When I look at for example this page: #

I can see <title>World Markets Review – Smart Options</title> in the source which is not the case on the live site. So it seems that Rank Math is causing this problem.

I’m gonna contact the Rank Math support as this is obviously an issue with that plugin and not with the AMP plugin.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!

    Kind regards,

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for investigating! Please let us know your findings once you hear back.

We’re always eager to see other plugins (and sites) become AMP-compatible, and provide feedback if needed.

Also, if you’re otherwise happy with the AMP plugin, please consider adding a review ??
