    Hi Jason,
First of all, great plugin…I’m so grateful for you making it available.

I’ve noticed when I use a semicolon in the middle of a quote, it cuts off the quote at that point when being tweeted. I suppose it’s interferring with the PHP in the background.

My simple resolution is to just use a different punctuation mark. However, with some quotes I’d love to be able to retain the semicolons. Any work-around for this?

    Thanks, Jason!

    Hi there,

I just pushed out an update v 1.2.1 to fix this issue.

    Jason,
Thanks for jumping on this issue so quick!

The semicolons and the words are appearing correctly now. However, it is causing other punctuation to convert and tweet as HTML encodedings. For instance, quotations marks tweet as (“)

Wouldn’t be as much of an issue if I was the one changing the encodings back, but I imagine visitors to sites may not take the time to do so and tweet the encodings without rendering correctly on twitter.

Sorry to be a pain. ??

Thanks again for honing the plugin and making it great for everyone who uses it.

Sorry, I can’t get the previous message to use the HTML encoding without changing it to a quotation mark once I submit it, even when enclosed in code tags.

Alright, give version 1.2.2 a try. The WordPress editor encodes some characters on it’s own so they were being double encoded. For example, the editor outputs & as &. So the encoding for the Twitter URL returned %23amp%3B instead of %23.

    Should be fixed up now.

Functioning perfectly with the 1.2.2 update. Thanks for putting in the extra work!
