    Hello all,

I currently sell products using a different platform. The products I sell are unique keys for video games. This platform allowed me to sell them quite easily, I simply copy pasted my entire key list as following per product.
    key1
    key2
    key3

And with a simple buy button the specific product would sell key1 to customer one, put key1 out of stock and sell key2 the second customer, or allow them to buy multiple keys at once. I am now expanding and tried to open a site with woocommerce, however I have the following issue.

I couldn’t find a way to sell the product “per line” like with the other platform so I made .txt files for each key. I have tried it with woocommerce but seems I have to make a unique product for each .txt file because the customer gets access to all of the .txt files associated with the product. Since I have over 10000 keys this seems a lot of work. I have into the same issue with easy digital downloads.

The only thing I have to sell is a small piece of text and whether that is by email, file attachment or sent directly does not matter as long as the customers can find their keys back later if needed. Hope someone has some tips.

You can set up variations for these keys using the guide below:
    https://woocommerce.com/document/variable-product/

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks @oaoyadeyi

I have checked out the variable products. However I do not find a way to sell the text per line easily. I do not have many variations, I only have 5 different variations with 2000 keys per variation. I am completely lost how to add them easily, I have been messing around for a while now. I now add a variation, add an unique SKU, put the variation on stock 1 and then add an unique .txt, and do this for every key manually?

Even if I could do that many products manual this method doesn’t even work because the stock on the website will be 1 instead of 2000. When I put stock on 2000, a customer will get the first key 2000 times instead of the second key from the other variations/skus as far as I am aware. I feel like I’m just doing a basic thing wrong but have no idea what.

    Hello @return3d,

What you want to achieve can be done using an extension like Software Add-on.

It creates a new software product that lets you sell license keys that can be auto-generated or imported via a CSV file.

Here is a direct link to this plugin and its documentation:

    https://woocommerce.com/document/software-add-on/

If you have any pre-sales questions after reading the plugin documentation, please contact us at:

    https://woocommerce.com/contact-us/#sales-form

From there, click on the tab “I have a question about a specific extension or theme I’d like to purchase.” We will be able to help you further there.

We offer a 30-day refund policy so you can test out the extension with your requirements and make sure it works for you. Here are more details on the WooCommerce.com refund policy: https://woocommerce.com/refund-policy/.

    Hope this helps!
