• Hi guys

We are selling a single book online. Payment has been set up using wordpress. We need someway of allowing the buyer to download the book after payment has been made.

Currently a paypal e-mail is received and then we manually e-mail a link which allows the buyer to download the book. However if the e-mail comes at night and we do not act very quickly we get phone calls and complaints – people are always dubious.

So we want a seamless solution whereby the buyer pays with paypak and then simply automatically and seamlessly can download the book.

Any ideas would be very gratefully received. Thanks

Thanks Esmi – that will be very useful for a number of projects.

DO you think it might be over the top for the sale of one book?

I am integrating it into this simple wordpress site

    https://www.osgood-schlatters-disease.co.uk/

You will see that we also sell the published book too, but its the digital download book that we struggle with. We had a call at 11.30pm Saturday night with a lady worried and concerned that because she did not get a link immediately.

There are people who are using it to sell a single book without any obvious problems. It’s not overkill if it can be set up and then will work automatically.

Thanks Esmi. With so many plug-ins it can be difficult finding the ideal one, I do appreciate your help

    I’ll second the eshop plugin

Works great, I use it for a couple of downloads. Simple and works well. Which is pretty much exactly what I needed!

thanks – I have installed it (on another test domain that I use)…

However I am confused – it doesn’t take much..I will carry on playing around and trying to go through the instructions, thanks all

    There’s a dedicated eShop forum at https://forum.quirm.net/

thanks Esmi, just need a guide to getting started, but it all seems quite in-depth re troubleshooting etc, I guess I need the dummys guide. The example websites on quirm.net look awesome – I will be thrilled when we get to that stage!

The current site is optimised, even down to keyword density so I am hoping I can integrate eshop with the site.

    Thanks again, eshop rocks

Try getting an auto responder and then have the information go through it. that way no matter what time it is it will get the info to you r customer and you will also build a list

there is another criteria that must be met which I had overlooked. The book download must be password protected and not be able to be printed, or forwarded…any ideas, I am just looking at Abobe Profesion trial version

Wazala supports digital downloads, check it out at https://www.wazala.com

    Hey Esmi,
The thread you linked to was long resolved. A misunderstanding on whether Wazala was a paid add on application. We have since made it clear that you do need to sign up to Wazala to use and plans start from $0 to $29.95 a month.
