Self-Hosted WordPress Blog server – can't link to my domain
-
Hopefully someone can help me here!
I have a Windows Home Server running at my home.
I have wordpress setup and functioning correctly on my server.
I purchased a domain name from godaddy.
I pointed my domain name to my server IP address.HOWEVER, when I type in my domain name it simply takes me to my server’s remote access login link, NOT wordpress.
I tried to change the settings in General settings of wordpress to have the URL as my actual godaddy domain name, however this caused the site to stop working and I had to edit the functions.php file to get back into my site settings! That was a hairy 30 minutes!
So how do I make sure that my domain name pulls up my wordpress blog and NOT the main login for my server?
Thanks!
