Self Hosted question

    Good Day all, I am in the process of moving my blog from the free hosting at wordpress.com to a selfhosted domain using WordPress software via godaddy’s one click install. I exported my xml from my old wordpress.com blog to the new site and got everything setup and looking great.

    The issue I’m having is that I have another (user) author on my blog and I have no idea where/how to have him log in to resume contributing to the blog. I see him in my control panel (users sub menu) and made sure his role is still the same.

    Does he need to download the WordPress 3.3.2 software to be able to contribute to the newly moved site? In short, I need the steps for him to follow to continue work on the blog. Any assistance you can provide would be invaluable.

  • You just need to give him the link to wp-admin and his login/password and he can login and continue working.

    Essentially, because his password shouldn’t have changed, I just need to give him the new .com/wp-admin URL instead of the .wordpress.com/wp-admin URL ?

    If it turns out to be as easy as that, I’m going to hang up work for the rest of my Sunday. ??
