I have an old non-commercial web site and now transfer it on vps with openLiteSpeed Web server.
The part of the process is image optimization. But when I try a quic cloud service I spent a lot of time to do it. And convert only 40% of images.
I don’t understand why plugin developers don’t propose a self-hosted optimization. Because during a development server load is almost zero.
As an example – webpexpress plugin. Or maybe I don’t find such method?

    Hi,

Well , the reason for not self-hosted image opt is that a lot , if not most of users are on shared hosting , in which case , many PHP function may not enabled , resources might be limited, therefore it may not be a good idea to make optimization on user’s server.

you think as VPS owner or developer , it makes sense , but when you think as normal user (which probably don’t know how to enable functions , or even not allowed by provider) or hosting provider who is picky resources usage, you will understand.

there was a issue on image optimization we found and fixed early today, could you please clean up unfinished data, upgrade to v3.0.8.6 , then send request again , and see how it goes ?

    Best regards,
