• Hello,

Is it possible to Exclude matching on pages by Family? Or maybe there is another way to solve my problem.

I have a site that could be divided in to 5 types of content pages. Let’s say 5 different sports. I have a Keyword named “Foul” and I would like the Tooltip for “Foul” to appear differently on various pages of my content — as a foul is different for each sport.

I hoped that Families would work this way but I do not see a way to define a Content Page as belonging to a certain family.

    Is this structure possible?

Also, what is a Prefix for?

Hi @armcast I’m also trying to do this.

    Did you have any luck?

    Hello @gboladay,

No sir I could not get it to work this way so I solved my need a different way. It seems the the tool tips are site wide. I could exclude them from resolving on certain pages, but could not make them resolve differently on different pages.

I had a bit of a hack solution in place for awhile but then I aborted that plan and solved my problem without using tool tips.

The hack solution was no good for me.. but i’ll share in case if helps you in some way.. I bracketed my keywords and then added more specificity.. like this:

    [Foul1]
    [Foul2]
    [Foul3]

and then I made the 1,2,3 subscript.. and that gave me 3 different tips.

You can also use invisible characters to add specificity if you don’t like the numbers.. I tried this for a bit too and it works but looks clucky and is hard to manage..

Hi @armcast thank you very much.

I initially tried the Tooltipy OOP plugin from github, but I noticed it had a number of bugs, which I wasn’t able to completely fix.

I settled for your invisible character approach and it worked for me. Thank you!
