Selective anon posting

  • I have a multi-author and usually author’s name is displayed along with a post. I’d like an author to have an option to post “anonymously”, i.e. have a checkbox or something on a “Write” page that would tell WP not to associate this post with an author. Of course, it won’t be able to edit it later, etc.

    Do something like that exist already? Should I roll my own hack?

    If you wondering what the point of this “feature” it’s pretty simple – I have a community blog, and for some sensitive topics author may prefer anonimity in their postings.

  • Not sure if there is a function to do what you need but…

    Why not create a new “anonymous author” and give everyone access to it?

    “anonymous author” — that’s a good idea, thanks!

    If there is no way to do it like I wanted originally, an “anonymous author” idea is a fine compromise.
