selection for path-based network not shown

  • I have installed and set up a new wordpress (latest) website ..
    after activate WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE in wp-config.php there is no longer a selection shown for sub-domain-based or path-based network, it only shows a setup for sub-domain-based multisite …
    any idea?

    it seems to work after install sub-domain based and switch back to path based
    define(‘SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL’, false);
