I use the [pdb_list] shortcode to list all the members in my database. I have also set up the Single Record Link Field to provide a link to [pdb_single tabs=true] to show the full details of the selected record from my membership list. All works fine.

What I would now like to do change the configuration so that when I click on the link in my membership list I want to go to a specific record in order to edit the field values.

I have specified my Participant Record Page where I have used the shortcode [pdb_record] but I just cannot get it to work.

Basically what I would like to do is give a full list of my users on the front end. This is straight forward. I then want to click on a link on one of the records in the list so that I can edit and save the field values.

I’ve read the manual but I just cannot figure out how to do it.

    Many Thanks

Success. After a bit of a slog I have done it. I needed to create a template. I can now list all my records on the front end and view the individual records and edit any field of a selected record. I can set fields to read only so that they can be edited. Total control.
    Thanks

Glad you figured it out! I have written a tutorial on how this can be done, it’s one of my most popular tutorials:

Adding an Edit Record Link to the Frontend List
