Selecting "Images uploaded to this post"

Hi there,
Normally when adding featured image to a post, there is a dropdown which allows one to choose between:
1. (All) Images
2. Images uploaded to this (post)
3. AttachedI found this post from a year ago >>

Where (plugin author) said it will be considered for a future release >>
Anything new on this?
Without this feature the plugin is pretty useless on a website with many images.
