What ever setting I use, a static page or my latest posts, my front page goes a to a page that doesn’t exist. I have no idea why it started doing this, and am finding it extremely frustrating.

The page that it’s pointing to was a private page which I deleted. I never told it to show it as a static page, so I have no idea why it pointed there in the first place. Changing themes and deactivating all of my plugins makes no difference.

Any help is very much appreciated as people coming to my site are seeing, “Oops, not found” which doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. Thank you, here’s the site:

  • Try delete the browser cache. That link works for me. I see there the latest posts from your blog.

Well… that’s weird.. it just dissapeared:)

Ok, so the problem was caused by the “redirection” plugin.

After deactivating it and clearing my cashe (thanks for the tip!) it returned to normal. I then deleted all of the plugins’ settings, re-added my 301 redirections and… it works! Very weird :-/
