Selecting a coauthor from autosuggest fails to populate the selection

    Hi,

    I have a client across the world who is the only person who is able to repro this issue. When editing a post and managing coauthors, he is able to use the autosuggest, but when he clicks on a coauthor to select them, it does not populate in the meta box.

    Weirdly, it works fine when he sets his browser to mobile mode using dev tools.

    Cannot repro. Forlorn.

  • I have that problem on a live site. I can’t reproduce it on my development site (different server?) or on a local server and I have no idea what to do about it. Turned off all plugins, switched to Twenty Twenty, cleared cache etc nothing works. I tried your client’s tip and that didn’t work for me either, unfortunately, but sometimes it’ll work on quick edit, just not in the post itself. Often though, it works nowhere. See the autosuggest, click on it, nothing happens.
    I would think it’s a JS conflict but since turning all plugins off and switching themes didn’t work, I really have no idea what the conflict could be.

    My work around right now is actually doing it on my phone in the Samsung browser or using IE11 (which works beautifully haha).
