Hi, I am working my way through the incredible options of s2members.
Question: I created a list of countries for my users to pick from. The list starts with
    “|— Select your country —|default”
but I don’t actually want people to be able to send the form without picking an actual country from the list. Is there a way to tell s2members not to accept forms that have the first entry of the list selected?
Is there another way to default a value that is not actually a value from the selection?
    Thanks for your help.

  • I imagine you’re talking about s2’s custom profile fields.

Did you try making that field required?

    > Is there another way to default a value that is not actually a value from the selection?

You could have the default be the country you’d default users to and have the “select your country” be in the field’s label instead.

    I hope that helps. ??

That is all very embarrassing. I wrote my question without actually testing the functionality on my website. I was just assuming ….
It all works perfectly ok. Sorry.

No problem. Glad you got it working. ??
