Select field not saved with numbers as label

Hi,

This might seem a little bit strange, but I’m trying to do something that should work pretty easily imo. I used to have Pods to handle this, but thought to give ACF a try as it served me well many times before.

I’m trying to save a select with both values and labels. Like this:

01 : 1
02 : 2
03 : 3
...
10 : 10

I want the labels to be displayed on the front end but use the values for sorting.

After saving, when I open the field again, all my values are gone. Using text as label works nicely (for example 01 : one).

I made a list of zero-padded numbers and changed my code to trim the leading 0, so it works, but still this issue is strange.

Same issue happens with check boxes and radio buttons…

Maybe I’m approaching this whole thing from the wrong side, idk.

I’m thankful for any suggestion leading into the right direction.
