    Hi,

On the “all products” page, I’m missing the “select category” option for products. Instead, I have “filter categories.” Is there a way to change this? It was working normally not long ago.

From what I understand, you’re having trouble with the “select category” option on your “all products” page, which seems to have been replaced with “filter categories”. You also mentioned that it was working just fine before.

I’ve attempted to recreate the issue on my end, using the most recent versions of WordPress, WooCommerce, and our free Storefront theme, with no other software enabled. Interestingly, I didn’t encounter the same problem; the “Select a category” option is visible on my test site.

This leads me to believe that the issue might be confined to your specific setup. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can take:

    1. Update your WooCommerce and WordPress to the most recent versions: It’s crucial to keep your WordPress and WooCommerce up to date, as older versions may cause some features to malfunction.
    2. Inspect your theme: Occasionally, themes can disrupt WooCommerce’s functionality. To eliminate this possibility, temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme like Storefront and see if the problem persists.
    3. Disable all plugins except WooCommerce: Other plugins can also disrupt WooCommerce. Try disabling all your plugins except WooCommerce and see if the issue remains. If the problem disappears, reactivate your plugins one by one until you find the culprit. Here’s a handy guide on how to test for conflicts: ?? How to Test for Plugin and Theme Conflicts.

If none of these solutions work, could you provide us with more details? Any recent changes you made to your site, any custom codes you’re using, or any error messages you’re seeing would be extremely helpful.

To help us better understand your site’s setup and identify the problem, could you share your site’s System Status report? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

If there are any fatal error logs, we’d appreciate if you could share those as well. You can find them under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Once you’ve gathered this information, please paste it inside a Code block in your reply, or use https://pastebin.com to paste it and share the link with us.

Thanks for your patience and cooperation in this matter! We’re here to help you get this sorted.
