Select a Recipient with Pipes not working.

Can’t figure out why this is failing. I have a form with the following field:
[select* your-recipient "Select a Recipient|" "Campbell River|[email protected]" "Comox Valley|[email protected]" "Nanaimo|[email protected]" "Royal Oak|[email protected]" "Gordon Head|[email protected]" "Kamloops|[email protected]" "Head Office|[email protected]"]In the “To” field I have [_raw_your-recipient].
When trying to send I get a fail message.
