“select a country” placeholder in countries dropdown widget

Hi,
The country selector always displays the current customer’s country as the selected country. So, it is not necessary to add a placeholder option.

In any case, you can make a custom template for the country selector in your theme:

I appreciate the quick response! The geolocation does seem to be working (or it seems to always default to the US). When I use a VPN from a different country it pings back US. When we have our colleague who is currently in Ireland test it, it pings back US. What could be causing this?
