sela theme navigation menu

I have the Sela theme and was able to change the color of the pink stripe below the header in the CSS editor, but now I want to have all of my navigation menu on that stripe with drop down submenus in each. It currently just has home, which is the way it came, and it will only let me place widgets on the side bar or in the footer. Can someone tell me the code to change that. For instance, I want it to have menus for “home”, “garden” and “favorite things” below the header with the option to add drop downs to go to a specific page within each category.
Sorry my page is still under construction, so its not available yet. But if it helps, its still in the very beginning phase. No changes have been made beyond color.
